School of Physical Education

      The School of Physical Education presently has 95 faculty and staff members, including 8 full professors and 34 associate professors; and currently has 656 undergraduate students and 182 postgraduate students enrolled in its Department of Physical Education, Department of Kinesiology, and Department of Public Physical Education and in 4 master’s degree programs. It also houses the Institute of Sports Biology and the Research Center for Sports Humanities and Social Science.


      The School is currently undertaking 6 research projects under the National Natural Science Foundation and under the National Social Science Foundation, 15 key projects at the provincial- or ministerial-level, and has published more than 200 papers in sports core journals. Its 2 provincial-level master educators, 3 international referees and over 20 senior coaches have won 5 awards for teaching achievements at the provincial- or ministerial-level.
